Teen Dating Advice – First Date
So I gave those seeking teen dating advice some great date ideas in a previous post. Now I’d like to give some advice on how to overcome some of the challenges that you may face on your first date.
It’s very important that you make a great first impression the first time you go out if you are hoping to get a second date. First impressions tend to stay in our memory for quite a bit, whether it’s of a place or person. Sure you’ve heard the saying “not to judge a book by it’s cover” but the problem is most of us do it anyway.
When going out for the first time, it’s important that you try and look your best. Even if you don’t consider yourself an attractive person, just by acting and dressing the part, you’ll make yourself appear much more attractive. Make sure to take the time to shower, style your hair and wear some clean clothes.
Remember guys, if you are a teenager then the parents will have a big say in whether another date occurs. Make sure that when you pick up your date that you try and greet her parents in a respectful manner. Take my dating advice right now: spend a little time now to earn trust from her parents and you’ll see that further down the road it’ll pay off ten fold!
Once your date is over, don’t rush to call them back. You might end up having the adverse effect of smothering the person and therefore pushing them away. Wait a day and then give a call or send a text message. If you don’t hear anything back, don’t fret! It doesn’t necessarily mean that your date had a bad time. She may be busy or playing hard to get. If you constantly text message or call without hearing a response, you’ll just come across as desperate which will end up being a complete turn off!
Hopefully you’ll be able to use some of this teen dating advice to have a fun and successful time on your first date.
