We’ve all heard it. Women are attracted to confident men.

But how do you become confident with women?

Telling a guy who wants to improve with women to “be confident” is like telling a millionaire wannabe to “make lots of money”. It doesn’t help much.

If there’s one thing that holds guys back when it comes to interacting with women, it’s fear of rejection. Anticipating the outcome and fearing the worst underlies approach anxiety, insufficient physical escalation, not making moves, etc. In short, all the reasons men lose women… It could be said that the #1 cause of loss of women is the fear thereof.

In the process of doing thousands of hours worth of residential training, teaching people from all over the world, helping people with a gamut of inner and outer game issues, I keep coming back to a fundamental lesson.

ou mustered the courage to approach her and navigated the interaction all the way to getting her number. You pat yourself on the back and start picturing dates, sex and relationship ups and downs.

Yet she’s unresponsive when you text and never calls you back. Getting her out proves a Herculean task, and even when you do it, your dates seem lackluster and seldom if ever lead to sex.

Every relationship is not a match made in heaven. In fact, you probably spent more time researching and choosing your new flat screen TV than you spent figuring out which girl is right for you.

Something as important as love and a lifelong relationship has to be taken very seriously. Yet, in our culture, we still tend to use the “trial and error” method of finding a suitable partner. Then it shouldn’t be too shocking that we will make a few errors along the way.

Playing hard to get is typically thought of as a female behavior. However, balancing interest with disinterest is a corner stone of flirtatious interactions and one of the best ways to build attraction.

We all like a challenge. It’s fundamental human psychology. Playing hard to get works because we want what we can’t have and appreciate things more if we have to work hard to get them.

No, I don’t mean cardio and weight training.  Although I do advise you do that. (I will be sharing a killer post on looks soon)  This is an exercise I was first advised to do long ago and I still suggest students do as well.

What I want you to do is write out at least five things that You want a girl to know about you, and things you want in a girl.  Often guys don’t know what to talk about, nor do they have any qualifications on which to screen women out.  If she’s beautiful that’s great, but that doesn’t mean that she will be a good fit for you.  This exercise will give you something to fall back on when you are talking to girls.

Aligning with a good mentor is a simple and overlooked action that can be one of the most rewarding things for your success.  This has just hit me recently, as I have made some solid connections with people who have helped me immensely on my current journey to success.

You ought to be excited; you have a date tonight and she’s gorgeous. You got her phone number a few nights ago at the swanky club downtown. At first she seemed intimidating and aloof, but by the end of your conversation she seemed totally into you. You had things in common. She had a good sense of humor. So you called her the next day and made plans to go out tonight.
